According to the Swatantra Tantra, Maa Baglamukhi manifested from the Haridra Sarovar (Lake of Turmeric) in response to Lord Vishnu's intense penance. When a devastating cosmic storm threatened to annihilate all creation, the Mother appeared in her radiant golden (Pitambara) form, instantly stilling the chaos and restoring universal order. This is why yellow is Her sacred color-representing the turmeric-tinted radiance of pure, transformative power.
