Baglamukhi Jayanti 2026: The Birthday of the Brahmastra

On this night, the Yellow Ocean rose, the Storm stopped, and the Universe froze in awe. Prepare for the Night of Stambhan.

Save the Date 25 April 2026 Saturday

1. Why is this Night Special? (The 1000x Multiplier)

In Tantra, there are 4 Major Nights: Kaal Ratri (Diwali), Moha Ratri (Janmashtami), Maha Ratri (Shivratri), and Daruna Ratri (Baglamukhi Jayanti).

Scriptures say: "A single mala chanted on Jayanti night is equal to 1000 malas chanted on normal days." Why? Because on this specific celestial alignment (Vaishakh Shukla Ashtami), the cosmic channel between the Earth and the Baglamukhi Loka is wide open. It is the "Birthday" of Her energy manifestation.

2. The Origin Story: When the Universe Trembled

It was the Satya Yuga. A terrifying cosmic storm (Vatavan) arose, threatening to rip apart the three worlds. The winds were so strong that mountains were flying like dust.

"Lord Vishnu, the Preserver, realized He could not stop it. He went to the Saurashtra region, to the banks of the Haridra Sarovar (Turmeric Lake). He performed intense penance (Tapasya) to the Supreme Shakti."

On the night of Vaishakh Shukla Ashtami (Tuesday, Chaturdashi constellation), the lake began to glow with blinding yellow light. From the turmeric water, the Goddess Baglamukhi emerged—wearing yellow silk, radiant like a million suns.

She struck the storm with her Mudgar (Club). Instantly, the wind froze. The universe became still. This act of "Freezing" is called Stambhan.

3. Shubh Muhurat & Timings (2026)

Mark these timings carefully. Missing the "Nishita Kaal" (Midnight) means waiting another year.

Event Phase Date & Time (IST) Activity
Tithi Begins 24 April, 11:23 PM Fast Begins (Upavas)
Nishita Kaal (Power Time) 25 April, 11:45 PM - 12:45 AM Havan / Deep Reading
Tithi Ends 25 April, 10:15 PM Fast Breaking (Parana)

4. How to Celebrate at Home? (The "Yellow Mountain" Vidhi)

You may not be able to visit Nalkheda, but you can invite Her energy home.

The Ritual Layout
1. The "Meru" (Mountain)

Take a copper plate. Pour 250g of Turmeric Powder (Haldi) to form a small mountain. Place a Lemon on the peak. This represents the Goddess arising from the Turmeric Lake.

2. The 36 Wicks

Light a large dough lamp with 36 wicks (see Deepdan Guide) in front of this Yellow Mountain at midnight.

Mantra for the Night:

"Om Hleem Baglamukhi Sarva Dushtanam Vacham Mukham Padam Stambhaya Hleem Om Swaha"

After the Puja (next day), immerse the Turmeric Mountain in water. Do not reuse it for cooking.

5. The Atmosphere at Nalkheda

It is indescribable. Imagine 10,000 lamps reflecting in the Lakhundar river.

  • The Shringar: The idol is decorated with 50 kg of pure Gold jewelry and Yellow Roses.
  • The Maha-Yagya: 108 Brahmins sit around the Havan Kund chanting non-stop for 24 hours. The sound vibration shakes the floor.
  • The Bhasma Aarti: A special Aarti is performed at 4 AM using the ash from the Havan.

6. Frequently Asked Questions

Eat only Yellow Fruits (Bananas, Mangoes, Papaya) or "Yellow Halwa" (made of Besan/Gram Flour). Avoid salt. Strictly NO alcohol or non-veg.

No. On Jayanti, wear only Yellow (Pitambar). Yellow attracts Her energy. Black repels it (unless doing specific Aghor sadhana).
